It is one of the biggest temples in kannur. Sree Sundareswara Temple is considered one of the main temples in kannur district. Sree Narayana guru devan who was a famous social reformer and spiritual leader of modern Kerala, founded this temple in the year 1916. The temple is located in suburban talap in kannur district of Kerala. It is only 2 km away from kannur railways station and 3 km from kannur new bus stand. If you visit South India, You should not avoid Sundareswara temple. The temple beauty attracts locals as well as outside. The eight-day annual festival celebrated in the Malayalam month of Maenam in the temple. On the last day, A special ritual called arattu is held and is followed by caparisoned elephants and fireworks. Many religious and cultural events are organized during the festival. The temple is open for all caste or religion. Travelers can enjoy their custom and cultural activities. The temple architecture is designed by Sri Chaithanyaall swami. Sree Narayana. Timing : 5:00 AM - 12:00 PM & 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM, every day.
